Full-time (No weekends)


  • Load customer orders and materials onto trucks 
  • Double-check inventory before leaving 
  • Double check/Ensure measurements are correct

About Us

  Mission and Vision 

Taylor Transitional Training was established to help striving, moderate to low-income participants, transition into a Wisconsin Registered Apprenticeship, and/or high-paying career opportunities. Graduates from our program will receive OSHA-10 Certification (Lead- construction, paint, pipes, airborne  etc.), qualify for up to $4,500 in grants, and enter a Wisconsin Registered Apprenticeship with Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), also work with one of our employer partners for continuous education, needed course hours, or internship. We are working with disabled and military veterans, dislocated workers, and the Department of Corrections (DOC). Cohesively working together with other pre-apprenticeships to form the foundation of participants becoming apprentices to indentured carpenters, or window and door installers. Each participants is paid $1,120 per month while enrolled and participating in our program (If they qualify for the TMJ program). Encouraging participants to have a successful career in a carpentry, window and door installer, or enter a Wisconsin Registered Apprenticeship. 


Our Vision is for our graduates to become "Pillars" in their communities and families. Encouraging and providing participants with the right skill sets to achieve household supporting incomes, in sustainable in-demand careers. Our program curriculum is industry recognized and our completion certification (OSHA-10) is as well. We receive referrals from the TMJ (Transform Milwaukee Jobs) program, the Veterans Administration and other community organizations like Northcott and the Silver Spring Center. For individuals in need of obtaining GED/HSED, we have partnerships with Project Return and Milwaukee Urban League for wrap-around services such as (financial literacy, driver's license recovery, tutoring services to obtain minimum accuplacer scores) or supportive services needed to apply or enter a Wisconsin Registered Apprenticeship with (ABC). 


  "Barriers and Competency Breakers" :

 With the help of a caring staff, testing, and consultation, we discover participants competency and barriers, and surround them with resources to become "barrier breakers". We provide solutions and supportive services needed to successfully complete the program, and oftentimes, situational barriers.
